NHS Treatment

Greenlaw Dental practice opened June 2011. Providing NHS/Private dental care to Newton Mearns and surrounding areas.


NHS patients, who pay for their treatment, pay 80% of the treatment costs (including any x-rays), up to a maximum of £384. Full details of NHS dental charges are provided at reception. If the cost of your treatment is likely to exceed the limit of £384, then your dentist will need to apply to the Health Board for approval to provide your treatment.

NHS Treatment

The following people can receive free NHS treatment
 
 

  • Everyone aged under 18
  • Those aged 18 in full-time education
  • Pregnant and nursing mothers, until your baby is 12 months old
  • Those with certificated exemption from payment because of income

You may be exempt from paying NHS charges if you are in receipt of

  • Income Support
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
 
 
 
 

Or if you are entitled to or named on
 
 
 

  • A valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
  • A valid HC2 certificate issued under the terms of the NHS Low Income Scheme
